Neighbourhood Watching - C. Demetriou
Meet Mr. Demetriou. Moved to London from Cyprus in 1959, opening this DIY shop in the same year. He's 91 and works here 7 days a week from 8-4. I asked him why he continues to work, 26 years after the legal retirement age, his response was simply, "I like to work".

In a world where postage stamps are nearing extinction this man is keeping snail mail alive. I've received more post cards and crudely packaged zines in the post from him then I have anything else, including phone bills and court summons. Dave Bevan is a truly inspirational character who looks amazingly like a genuine real life sailor. He's Happy Going Nowhere.
